Our Commitment

Supplier Due Diligence and Audits
We assess suppliers before entering into business relationships and continue to monitor risk throughout the relationship. Our supplier checks consider the nature of the goods or services provided, the location of operations, and any signs of vulnerability in the supply chain. Where appropriate, we carry out supplier audits and request evidence of compliance with labour standards. If concerns are identified, we investigate promptly and may require corrective action, further monitoring, or termination of the relationship if issues are not resolved.
We also expect our suppliers to apply the same standards to their own subcontractors and sources of labour. This includes maintaining lawful employment practices, respecting working time and pay requirements, and ensuring that workers are free to leave employment and are not subjected to coercion, threats, or debt bondage.
Reporting Channels
Gardeners Enfield encourages anyone who has concerns about modern slavery or unsafe labour practices to report them without delay. Concerns may be raised through management, the relevant supervisor, or the appropriate internal reporting route. Reports are treated seriously and handled as confidentially as possible. We do not tolerate victimisation or retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
All reports are reviewed and, where necessary, investigated by the appropriate responsible person. If a case suggests that an individual may be at immediate risk, we will act quickly to protect that person and involve external authorities or specialist support where appropriate.
Training and Awareness
We aim to increase awareness of modern slavery risks among those who work for and with us. Relevant staff are encouraged to remain alert to signs of exploitation, including unusual restrictions on movement, poor accommodation, withheld documents, unsafe conditions, or workers appearing fearful or unable to speak freely. This awareness supports earlier identification of risk and better protection for vulnerable people.
Annual Review
This statement and our anti-slavery arrangements are reviewed annually to ensure they remain effective and appropriate to our business. The review considers any reported concerns, supplier audit outcomes, legal developments, and changes in operational risk. Where improvements are needed, we take action to strengthen controls and raise standards across our business and supply chain.
